CLASS FORMAT

BELOW IS A SAMPLE CLASS FORMAT FOR OUR 8 WEEK ON CAMERA CLASSES

Reading Assignments, Warm Ups, and Monologue or Scene Assignments change from session to session in order to challenge our on-going students.



8 weeks.
ON CAMERA ACTING & AUDITION TECHNIQUE
Format: One Monologue & Three Scenes per session.
Combination of cold read, off book, acting work/auditioning in pairs and solo on camera audition.

• Week One: Improv Warm Up and Cold Read Monologue. Review on monologue break down. Assign Reading 1.
• Week Two: Acting Warm Up and Audition on previous week’s monologue. Re-direct & take two. Discussion on last week’s reading & Assign new reading 2.
• Week Three: Call Back OFF BOOK on previous week’s monologue. Cold Read Scenes in pairs. Discuss Scene Break Down. Discussion on last week’s reading & Assign new reading 3.
• Week Four: Improv Warm Up and First Audition of Scenes. Discussion on last week’s reading & Assign new reading 4.
• Week Five: Acting Warm Up and Blocking of Previous week’s scenes. Discussion on Matching.
• Week Six: Call Back OFF BOOK on previous week’s scenes. Assign New Scenes for Audition next week.
Be as familiar with the script for weeks seven and eight as you can as though it’s an actual audition.
• Week Seven: On Camera audition in pairs of last week’s scene. Re-direct & take two with close up shots & matching. Discussion on how to better prepare for your next audition. Assign new reading 5 on Auditioning & Assign Final Scene.
• Week Eight: Improv Warm Up and Audition of final scenes in solo on camera audition format. Take two~ Re-direct and audition in pairs. Close with final close up if there is time. Discussion on last week’s reading & the different formats of auditioning.
